Question: How many guitar players does it take to change a light bulb?
Answer: Twelve. One to change the bulb and eleven to say they could do it better.

It?s been a couple of months since I?ve been able to talk with you. Sorry ?bout that! Guess I?ve been off having too much fun in the acoustic music and dulcimer world, like Winfield. Just so we?ll have it on record, here are the results of the National Championships:
Erin is seventeen, and David is fourteen. It?s a youth movement, for sure! Three of the top five MD players were teenagers. And, the record for the youngest ever HD winner that was held by ITDC?s own David Moran for 22 years was broken by young Mahler.
Upcoming events in the dulcimer world are a festival (Autumn Acoustics) at Hillsboro MO on October 23-24, and another (Deep Fork Festival) at Chandler OK on November 5-7. Both will feature MD and HD workshops. Finally, we also have an invitation for folks to attend the String Fling festival in Joplin MO on the last Saturday in February 2005. Individuals and groups can also sign up to play for that shindig. Ask me about any of these, and I?ll have some further info about when and where and who to contact.

What hapened you ask? Well the newsletter editor (clearly a great master of planning) looked at his calendar and realized the newsletter should have been published two days ago! Woops..
Well so my apology for the non-newsletter. As you would expect this thing is very dynamic, and it may get published in several spurts. That has happened before.. did you know that we had three newsletters one month? Yep.. at differentt times there were three different ones posted to the web site. Each time there was something new to add. So i added it so the electronic form is always most up-to-date, kinda the way electronic publishing is supposed to work! It looks like the second update this month is the one heading out to the press.. stay tuned tho!
The moral of the story is, check the website! Updates will be posted there..
Making matters worse, last month I didn't bring my camera, so there are no pictures this time. Shucks... sorry about that! I will try to do better, just give me two more chances! That's all I ask, two more chances, heck then I have promised myself relief! So be thinking about helping out.. this is one of the biggest tasks in the club! And elections are comming up... should we have a debate?
